Recently, my friend, Pamela Dixon of Dixon Benefit Group made her second generous donation to Great Books for Kids this year!
From the time Pamela became a mom, she felt it was important for her daughter, Olivia, to be raised in a home where reading & books were priorities. Even though Olivia has grown, Pamela’s passion for child literacy continues! She was the very first local business to become an official sponsor of Great Books for Kids!
Pamela’s donation allowed us to gift nearly every first grader at Mamie Lou Gross Elementary and Woodbine Elementary School a copy of this incredible hardcover book titled Living in Space!! It is about the many things astronauts do while on the International Space Station and includes real photos. It’s a fascinating book – you can check it out in our PaperPie bookshop.
