Oct 16, 2022 | Exciting News, Ways YOU Can Support Us

Great Books for Kids made its first book donation of the school year in September! Thanks to our supporters, we gifted $3419.10 worth of brand new books to a total of 511 local children for their homes!

  • 121 Kindergarteners received How Do Dinosaurs Go to School?
  • 119 1st Graders received The Gruffalo (a favorite of mine)
  • 141 2nd Graders received National Geographic Kids: Coral Reefs
  • 130 3rd Graders received The Mouse and the Motorcycle (I read this when I was in 3rd grade!)

Thank you to supporter Patty Sizemore for adding a name label inside all the Coral Reef books while she was dog sitting our MacKenzie during our daughter’s last swim meet!

Support Great Books for Kids

Our September Book Donation could not have happened without your support! Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to our 501c3 nonprofit! 100% of your donation will be used to purchase amazing books for local children and our few needed, like name labels.

You can also support us by purchasing books for your OWN readers at our link to Usborne Books (my favorite children’s publisher!!) and we’ll earn a whopping 25% of your order’s subtotal as a monetary donation! Books make the perfect Christmas, holiday and birthday gifts for the children in your life!

THANK YOU for your continued support! We couldn’t do it with out YOU!
