3 Ways YOU Can Help Great Books for Kids

Jul 8, 2022 | Exciting News

While I may have founded Great Books for Kids, Inc. by myself, it definitely takes a village to support the literacy of our local children in southeast Georgia. I’d like to invite YOU to be part of our Great Books for Kids village!

Following are 3 ways you can support our mission to gift high-quality books to elementary-aged children in southeast Georgia for their homes!

1) Bless Us with a Monetary Donation

Click HERE to make a tax-deductible donation today! Your donation will be used to purchase books for our local children, help us purchase the few supplies we need (name labels for inside the books, printer ink, and paper mostly) and will ensure we can continue moving forward in our mission!

Children continually need access to new age-appropriate books in order to grow in their reading and to keep alive the desire to read. Many of the families we serve do not have the funds to continually purchase books. That’s where we come in!

We have great resources and connections that allow us to purchase amazing books at a fraction of their retail price. Your monetary donation will be maximized and spent wisely. Please consider making a donation today!

Interested in sending your donation by check or in a different way? Please contact me (Jen Tacbas) at greatbooksforkidsinc@gmail.com.

2) Purchase Books for Your OWN Readers

What if you could purchase high-quality books for your OWN readers aged 0-14+ and monetarily support Great Books for Kids at the same time? Now you can!!

When you purchase books from the following 2 websites, a portion of your purchase subtotal will be donated to Great Books for Kids! That’s a win-win situation!

Usborne Books & More – We will receive a whopping 25% donation from your purchase! Usborne is my favorite book publisher for my own daughter. We particularly love the engaging, interactive nonfiction titles for all ages. We encourage you to check out Nibbles the Book Monster and Lifesize!

Bookshop – We will receive a 10% donation from your purchase, and Bookshop will also donate another 10% to a local, independent bookstore to help keep bookstores alive in an age of e-commerce. How cool is that? In my Bookshop, I have a curated list of some of my daughter’s and my favorite books you may not have heard of before. Currently on the list are incredible pop-up books, books to delight your budding scientist, and storybooks with incredible illustrations. I’ll continually add more titles, so check back often!

3) Become a Sponsor!

Calling all businesses & business professionals: We need your support! Please consider investing in our community’s children and become an official Great Books for Kids sponsor! For a tax-deductible donation of $1000 or greater, we offer the following in return:

  • Your business logo will be placed on our website’s homepage for 1 year. Our website visitors will be able to click on your logo, which will lead to your website! We believe our supporters will want to support you, too!

  • We will share about your business’ donation/sponsorship in our Sponsor Spotlight on our social media, on our website’s blog, and in our quarterly e-newsletter! We want to share about your support with everyone we know and help you to promote your business (and general awesomeness!)

When it comes time to utilize your donation to purchase books for our local children, I may also be able to select books that relate to your business industry or profession!

Ready to become a sponsor? Have a question? I invite you to reach out to me (Jen Tacbas) at greatbooksforkidsinc@gmail.com or 912-222-8369. I look forward to speaking with you!

A Heartfelt Thank You!

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for supporting Great Books for Kids and investing in the children of southeast Georgia! Thank you for being a part of our village!! Together, we are truly making a difference in the lives our of local kids…one amazing book at a time.
